GRAND TOWER (WSIL) -- Rivers are on the rise once again, with flooding a growing concern for several residents and business owners along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers.
In Grand Tower, several areas are now flooded after recent rains.
Grand Tower resident Jonathan Ferell is terrified of the levee breaching.
"That's my main concern is the levee breaking and pretty much the town of Grand Tower being swept away."
Donnie Davis is hopeful the flooding won't be as bad as he experienced last year.
Davis says, "For this go-around, no were not too concerned about it. It's coming up, and it's going to go right back down."
Last year, Devils Backbone Campground had to cancel several activities in their park due to the flooding which caused millions in damage. Davis says he's been working closely with FEMA to get assistance for the campground.
"Our whole process is, tonight I'll have all of our damage assessment completed, and I should be able to finalize that with FEMA tomorrow or maybe the day after."
For residents like Jonathan, he doesn't know how bad flooding will be this year, but he knows he can't abandon his town.
"This is always been my go-to place. I can come here and think."
A FEMA spokesperson says they're going to continue their assessment in Grand Tower on Tuesday.
