DU QUOIN (WSIL) -- We've all heard the old saying when life serves you lemons turn it into lemonade and a 6 year old brought that message to life.
Meet Cora from Du Quoin. She learned that a mother and a son fell while hiking in Union County on May 4th, so Cora asked her grandparents if she could do something to help the family.
On May 30th Cora set up a lemonade stand on the Makanda Boardwalk and raised $740.
What a sweet gesture, that makes Cora a Wicked Awesome Kid in my book.
