(WSIL) -- Thirteen southern Illinois counties reported new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.
Jefferson County had the highest number with 15 new cases, followed by Saline County with eight.
On Wednesday, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) reported 2,273 new cases of COVID-19 in the state, including 35 additional confirmed deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 293,274 cases, including 8,672 deaths, in Illinois.
ALEXANDER COUNTY
- Female: One in her 30s
- Male: One in his 40s
Alexander County has had 85 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death. Southern Seven Health Department says 34 cases are currently active.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
- Female: One in her 20s and two in their 50s
- Male: One in his 30s, one in his 40s and one in his 70s
There have been 560 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Franklin County, including four related deaths. Bi-County Health Department says 388 of the positive cases have recovered.
HAMILTON COUNTY
- Two females in their 60s
Hamilton County has had 77 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths. Health officials say one person is currently hospitalized, while five others are isolating at home.
JACKSON COUNTY
- Female: One teen, two in their 20s and one in her 50s
- Male: One teen, one in his 20s and one in his 30s
Jackson County Health Department reported seven new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday.
There have been 1,284 confirmed cases in the county, including 24 related deaths. Thirty-seven active cases are currently being managed.
JEFFERSON COUNTY
- Female: One in her 20s, one in her 30s, two in their 40s, two in their 50s and two in their 60s
- Male: One in his 30s, one in his 40s, one in his 50s, three in their 60s and one in his 90s
Jefferson County Health Department reported 15 new cases of COVID-19 Wednesday. The majority of the positive results comes after a mobile testing lab on Monday.
To date, the county has had 660 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 32 deaths. The health department says 67 active cases are currently in isolation.
JOHNSON COUNTY
- Female: One in her 40s and one in her 60s
- Male: One in his 30s, one in his 40s and one in his 50s
There have been 225 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Johnson County. Southern Seven Health Department says 107 cases are currently active.
MASSAC COUNTY
- Female: One in her 50s
- Male: Two in their 50s and one in his 60s
Massac County has had 115 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including two deaths. Health officials say 45 cases are currently active.
PULASKI COUNTY
- Female: One in her 30s
- Male: One in his 20s and one in his 60s
There have been 182 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death, in Pulaski County. Southern Seven Health Department says 39 cases are currently active.
RANDOLPH COUNTY
- 3 new cases for Wednesday, Sept. 30
Randolph County has had 971 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 12 deaths. Health officials say two people are currently hospitalized, while 44 others are recovering at home.
SALINE COUNTY
- Female: One in her 30s, two in their 40s, two in their 50s and one in her 70s
- Male: One in his teens and one in his 60s
Egyptian Health Department reported eight new cases of COVID-19 in Saline County Wednesday. To date, the county has had 368 cases, including four deaths.
UNION COUNTY
- Female: One in 10s and two in their 50s
- Male: One in his 20s and one in his 30s
There have been 509 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 20 deaths, in Union County. According to Southern Seven Health Department, 89 cases are currently active.
WHITE COUNTY
- Female: One in her 20s and one in her 70s
- Male: One in his 60s
According to Egyptian Health Department, White County has had 177 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including one death.
WILLIAMSON COUNTY
- Female: Two in their 20s, one in her 30s, one in her 40s and one in her 50s
- Male: One in his 30s and one in his 70s
In addition to seven new cases of COVID-19, Bi-County Health Department also announced two additional deaths.
Bi-County says two women, one in her 60s and one in her 70s, both from long-term care facilities in the county passed away
To date, there have been 1,442 confirmed cases of COVID-19, including 51 deaths, in Williamson County. The health department says 964 of the positive cases have recovered.
