White House working to make Pfizer's Covid-19 antiviral pill more 'widely available'

The Biden administration is set to unveil new details and announcements on April 25 regarding Paxlovid, Pfizer's antiviral Covid-19 pill.

(CNN) -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention say recent findings show some people who took Paxlovid had a reappearance of COVID-19 symptoms.

The anti-viral drug made by Pfizer is to help treat COVID-19 symptoms.

They also say patients re-tested positive a few days later. The CDC says those who had a COVID rebound often had mild and brief illness.

The CDC still recommends Paxlovid for early-stage COVID-19 patients at high risk for severe disease.
