(HERRIN)---Workers at the Orthopaedic Institute received their COVID-19 vaccines.

Pamm Hunter was among the first at the institute today to receive the shot.

Hunter and those at the institute are unable to always socially distance themselves from their patients, so she is excited for what the vaccine means for the future.

"I feel very relieved. I feel like this is the beginning of the end. I'm so excited to see, I'm hoping this will resolve the pandemic. It's the start of a new future for us," said Hunter.

According to the Illinois Health Department, all adults should be able to be vaccinated in 2021 when the vaccine becomes more widely available.
