(WSIL) -- The Southern Seven Health Department reports 16 new recoveries from COVID-19.
There are no new cases in those seven counties.
White County reports one new virus case. The woman in her 20s is now in isolation.
The Jackson County Health Department reports three new cases of COVID-19. All three are women. One preteen/teen, one in her 50s, and one in her 60s. They are all believed to have acquired the disease through contact with
known cases.
In Williamson County there are two new cases:
- Male: one in their 30s
- Female: one in their 70s
According to a release from the Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department:
(The department) is also working with Sports Clips in Marion due to recent cases.
Sports Clips has followed ALL State protocol to ensure the safety of their employees and customers.
The salon has been disinfected as appropriate. All stylists have been quarantined and stylists from the Carbondale location have been brought into the Marion location.
Bi-County has contacted those who may have been exposed to the positive cases determined by the investigation timeline.
The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) announced 894 new confirmed cases of coronavirus across the state. There have been 41 additional confirmed deaths statewide.
