(WSIL) -- Community spread is blamed for the latest cases of COVID-19 in southern Illinois.
According to the Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department, three new positive tests were confirmed on Wednesday:
- A male in his 30’s from Franklin county, likely acquired from community spread. He is currently in home isolation and doing well.
- A female in her 40’s from Williamson county, likely acquired from community spread. She is at home in isolation.
- A female in her 30’s from Williamson county, likely acquired from community spread. She is at home in isolation.
There have been a total of 19 COVID-19 positives in Williamson county and 8 cases in Franklin county.
Of these positive cases, nine have recovered in Williamson county and four have recovered in Franklin County.
