MT. VERNON (WSIL) -- With infection rates continuing to fall in Marion and Jefferson Counties and the number of COVID-19 patients decreasing, the SSM Health Medical Group is changing the location of its COVID testing.
The COVID testing tents will be taken down on Sunday, May 23rd at both the Centralia and Mt. Vernon locations.
Express Clinics are located at 602 S. 42nd Street in Mt. Vernon and 1003 E. McCord Street in Centralia.
"Beginning on Monday, May 24, we will have everything set up so patients can come in, in a nice safe environment in our Express Clinics, received their PCR test, the nasal swab, in a comfortable, in-person environment," said VP of Operations for SSM Health Medical Group Steve Hubler-Marti.
Patients can receive a COVID swab Monday â€� Saturday, from 7:00 AM â€� 6:00 PM and Sunday from 8:00 AM â€� 2:00 PM.Ìý To receive a COVID test you must provide a doctor’s order or complete a virtual visit at .Ìý
