MT. VERNON, Ill. (WSIL) -- A Jefferson County town is gearing up for one of their biggest events of the year. Mt. Vernon will roll out all the stops for this year's Fall Fest - with the theme 'Rev Up!'. Mt. Vernon Festivals is organizing the two-day event, full of family fun and free entertainment.
The event kicks off on Friday, September 27 with live entertainment, the Cruise In, the Kids' Zone and the Vendors Marketplace. Southern Grit and HunterGirl will take the stage on Friday night.
Saturday starts with the Kids' Zone and the market, starting at 9 a.m. You can get a refreshment at the beer and wine tent starting at 11 a.m., then head over to the parade, starting at 1 p.m. Live music continues all day Saturday, with the headliner, Fuel, taking the state at 8 p.m.
