MURRAY, KY (WSIL) -- The Murray Police Department is investigating two shootings within 24 hours of one another.
Police responded to a report of a shooting near the intersection of North 16th Street and Lowe's Drive just after 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 16th.
Upon arrival, officers located an individual who had been shot; that individual was transported by EMS to a hospital where he later passed away.
Murray police then responded to a report of shots fired near the area of Tanglewood Drive just after 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, May 17th. There's been no further word on the incident.
The Murray Police Department has not confirmed whether the two shootings are related and both remain under investigation.
