CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. (WSIL) -- The City of Cape Girardeau is doing more to keep people safe by forming a new Gun Violence Task Force.
Officials say the motivation behind the move is recent shootings, like the one at the Cape Central High School's graduation ceremony last month.
Officials say the new group will review current programs and policies to decide what can be done to reduce violence.
They add the public is welcome to attend Task Force meetings and weigh in
