CARBONDALE, Ill., (WSIL) -- A popular musical gathering is taking place at SIU's Touch of Nature Outdoor Education Center the weekend of October 11-13, 2024. The Little Grassy Get Down brings original acoustic music from across our region to the outdoors. The impressive line-up of artists includes The Chain Station, Jeremy Todd, LoveSeat and many more.
The weekend long event also includes plenty of options for food and beverage, available at the Get Down Kitchen. You can find an ATM conveniently located on site. You can also try the Get Down Bar and Grill, both of which can be found in or near Freeberg Hall.
Of course, you will be able to pick up your favorite band's merchandise while you're at the Get Down. You can snag your merchandise in the Jam Camp at the Merch and Info booth. While you're near Vendor Alley, you will want to check out the eclectic variety of art and decor vendors.
Parking at the event is free, and passes are not required this year. You can park at either the Jam Camp or the Chill Camp but be mindful of the parking designation associated with your lodging.
Speaking of which, there are several lodging options available, but you will have to act fact because areas are selling out.
