HERRIN, Ill. -- The City of Herrin has ordered residents to boil their water in a certain area of town on Thursday.
The boil water order was issued for water customers from the 400 block of East Harrison Street through the 700 block of East Harrison Street. It also affects water customers in the 100 and 200 blocks of South 9th Street and the 100 and 200 blocks of South 10th Street.
This order is in effect until further notice.
According to the聽, you should bring water meant for consumption to a full rolling boil for one minute before use. Using bottled water for drinking and cooking is also a good option.
