Boil Water Order in Effect for Some Jackson County Residents After Water Main Break

JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. -- A boil water order has been issued to customers in Jackson County after a water main break on Wednesday.

The Kinkaid Water District tells News 3 there was a break in the main line.

A boil water order has been issued, affecting customers along Ava Road from Mudline Road to Ava, and on Route 4 to Willisville. This includes water customers in Campbell Hill as well.

Kinkaid Water District stated the order is in effect until further notice.

According to the , you should bring water meant for consumption to a full rolling boil for one minute before use. Using bottled water for drinking and cooking is also a good option.
