(WSIL) -- Solarize Southern Illinois a local program designed to help residents and businesses go solar is extending the deadline for their Group Buy Solar effort.
The program allows participants to save money through volume pricing. Solarize Southern Illinois is hosting several informational meetings in person and on Zoom. Project Manager, Saxon Metzger, tells News 3 the program is a great way to keep down the costs of going solar.
"Most people see a return on investment within 10 years. Most people it's within seven. You can go solar with zero money down, there's so many great financing options, so you're saving money and also at the end of the day going to be helping the environment as well." said, Saxon Metzger, Solarize Southern Illinois Program Director.
