CAPE CANAVERAL, FL (CNN) -- SpaceX continues to bolster its Starlink satellite infrastructure.
The company launched 60 more satellites into orbit from Cape Canaveral Thursday morning using one of its falcon-nine rocket boosters. The new satellites join more than 11-hundred already in orbit.
Starlink satellites are used to deliver high-speed internet service to antennas mounted on people's homes. So far, about 10,000 people around the world are using it.
SpaceX has promoted its Starlink service as a way to bring broadband service to areas where it is difficult to place fiber-optic lines.
The company filed paperwork with the Federal Communications Commission last week requesting a license to provide Starlink internet service to vehicles, airplanes and ships.
