CARBONDALE, ILLINOIS (WSIL) -- The police department needs the public's help finding a suspect in a shooting that injured one person.
According to the authorities, Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 300 block of South Cedarview Street in reference to reports of gunshots and a gunshot victim on September 3, 2021 at approximately 1:34 p.m.
Officers found a gunshot victim with non-life threatening injuries and treated the victim at the scene along with the Jackson County Ambulance Service. Â The victim was then taken to and treated at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Authorities say the suspect may have fled the area in a grey SUV, and there's no additional information about the suspect to release at this time. The identity of victim is also currently being withheld. Â
