Investigation leads to 11 arrests

CARMI (WSIL) -- A monthslong investigation in White County leads to 11 arrests.

Members of the White County Sheriff's Department, Carmi Police Department, and the Southern Illinois Drug Task Force took part in "Operation Dealers Choice" Wednesday.

Eleven people were taken into custody. More arrests are expected.

Arrested were:

Kendra O'Brien - Carmi Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine Bond $7,500.00 Additional Charges: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (No Bond)

Jeffery M. Newman - Carmi Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine Bond $7,500.00 Additional Charges: Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine (No Bond)

Richard Travelstead - Carmi Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine Bond $ 7,500.00 Additional Charges: Unlawful Possession of Firearm (Convicted Felon) Possession of Methamphetamine (No Bond)

Jason Schneider - Carmi Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine Bond $ 7,500.00

Thomas McGuire Unlawful Delivery of Methamphetamine Bond $5,000.00

Richard L. Powell - Carmi Theft Bond $2,500.00

Tarynn L. Browning - Carmi Violation of Probation Obstruction of Justice Bond $400.00

Jessica L. Smith - Crossville FTA: No Valid Drivers License Bond $300.00

Richard Ott - Carmi Criminal Trespass Disorderly Conduct Bond $500.00
