CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (WSIL) -- A juvenile was taken into custody in connection to a recent robbery investigation in Cape Girardeau.
The Cape Girardeau Police Department said a robbery which took place on February 13, at the intersection of Bloomfield and Louis streets, are connected to a robbery which also took place on January 2, 2025.
Police said a juvenile is in custody and evidence was seized after a search warrant was served at a home in the 100-block of S. West End Boulevard on February 23.
At around 3 p.m. on February 13, Cape Girardeau officers said they responded to the area of Bloomfield and Louis Street for a robbery call. Police said four juveniles were in a green Kia Sol when three males got out of the vehicle and assaulted the victim by kicking and punching him, then took personal items from the victim before leaving.
Two suspects were later found, a male and female juvenile, and were taken to the Juvenile Detention Center, police said.
At the time, police searched for two other juvenile suspects as part of the investigation.
