Man arrested on drug charges; deputies say he falsely claimed to have been hit by a vehicle

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (WSIL) � The McCracken County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a collision with a pedestrian around 10:30 p.m., Monday night on Bleich and Old Mayfield Roads. 

A man was reportedly lying in a ditch, claiming to have been hit by a vehicle. 

While investigating, deputies said there was no collision. 

Deputies say the man, 49-year-old Anthony Kladis, was impaired due to narcotics and was acting erratically. 

The sheriff's office searched Kladis and said they found meth along with two active warrants for his arrest.

Kladis was transported to the McCracken County Regional Jail.

He faces charges of possession of a controlled substance, drug paraphernalia, public intoxication and two failure to appear bench warrants for McCracken County.
