MARION (WSIL) -- Marion Police are searching for a Jefferson County man in connection with a weekend shooting.
Police say Demetrius J. "Jessie" Hernandez, 27, of Mt. Vernon, is considered armed and dangerous.
Around 10 p.m. Saturday, Marion Police were called to the 200 block of Michelle Drive for a report of a shooting. A man with a gunshot wound to the head was taken to a local hospital then flown to a trauma center.
Investigators identified two suspects - Hernandez and Lord Dario Travis, 20, of Marion.
Travis was taken into custody Monday and charged with attempted murder, armed robbery and aggravated battery with a firearm.
Hernandez has not been found.
Police say Hernandez is possibly in Mt. Vernon or the Chicago area.
