Mt. Vernon Man Faces Multiple Charges After Short Pursuit in Franklin County

CHRISTOPHER, Ill. -- An 18-year-old faces multiple charges after a pursuit in Franklin County on Monday.

The Christopher Police Department said their officers saw a black motorcycle which matched another motorcycle which was reported stolen from a nearby agency.

Police said officers in Christopher tried to pull over the motorcycle after they saw multiple traffic violations. Police then said a pursuit started when the driver started to drive away from officers.

The Christopher Police Department said the pursuit was short and they took 18-year-old Caleb M. Kiselewski of Mt. Vernon into custody.

Christopher police stated Kiselewski faces the following charges...

  • Aggravated Fleeing and Eluding
  • Endangering a Child
  • Reckless Driving
  • Aggravated Speed
  • Operating a Motor Vehicle while Registration Revoked
  • No Valid Drivers License
  • Speeding [School Zone]
  • Improper Display of Registration
  • Improper Lane Usage
  • Stop and Yield Signs

Assisting the Christopher Police Department was the Sesser Police Department, Zeigler Police Department and the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
