Shooting in Charleston leaves three injured; investigation ongoing

CHARLESTON, Mo. (WSIL) -- Authorities responded to a shooting early Saturday morning, where police said three people sustained serious injuries.

The Charleston Department of Public Safety said their officers and deputies from the Mississippi County Sheriff's Office determined the shooting occurred in the 300 block of Oliver Street.

Authorities said all three victims were transported to area medical facilities.

The investigation is ongoing, and officers are working to establish a motive.
