Two women seriously injured after UTV crash, one arrested

COMMERCE, Mo. -- Two women were seriously injured after they were both ejected from a UTV during a crash.

Missouri State Highway Patrol stated the crash happened along Scott County Road 344, roughly four miles south of Commerce at 7:15 p.m. on February 6.

Police said 36-year-old Kayla Dollnis, of Oran, was driving a 2022 Polaris Ranger with a 31-year-old female passenger in the vehicle.

The crash reportedly happened as the vehicle ran off the left side of the road and overturned. This resulted in both of the drivers being ejected from the UTV.

Police said both women did not have a safety device on.

Both Dollins and the 31-year-old were taken to St. Francis Hospital with serious injuries.

In an arrest report, Missouri State Highway Patrol stated Kayla Dollins, 36, was arrested at 10:50 p.m. on February 6. This is roughly three-and-a-half hours after the crash took place.

The arrest report stated Dollins faces charges of felony driving while intoxicated-serious physical injury, careless and imprudent driving causing an accident and fail to drive on right half of roadway.

Dollins was released for medical according to the report.
