Neighborhood Co-op Grocery Farm Crawl scheduled for second weekend in September

CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) -- The Neighborhood Co-Op Grocery is once again holding its farm crawl. People can tour local farms and feel good about giving back.Ìý

This self-guided tour offers a unique opportunity for families and individuals to connect with local farmers, learn about sustainable practices, and experience the rich agricultural heritage of our region.

Overall, 11 local farms are taking part. Attendees will enjoy farm demonstrations, meet the farmers, explore crops and livestock, and even have the chance to purchase fresh, local products

This event supportsÌý, a nonprofit organization committed to developing a sustainable regional food economy in Southern Illinois.Ìý

How to Participate:

  • Car passes are required and must be purchased in advance. They are available for pre-order online during August atÌýÌýor in-person at Neighborhood Co-op Grocery starting August 28. Single-day passes are $15, and multi-day passes are $25.

The event is being held September 14th and 15th from 1 to 5 p.m. each day.
