Gov. Pritzker signs law to give legislatures pay raises

SPRINGFIELD, IL (WSIL) -- Illinois Governor JB Pritzker took action on Senate Bill 1720 Monday morning. 

Pritzker signed the bill which amends the 2023 Budget Implementation Act which includes giving pay raises for Illinois legislatures. 

Illinois lawmakers recently passed the budget bill giving them big pay raises. The bill then went to the governor's desk for Pritzker to take action by noon on Monday.
