ANNA (WSIL) -- Centerstone’s Fellowship House has started its new detox program.
Clinical managers say they wanted to find new treatments for patients dealing with withdrawal symptoms.
Fellowship House’s medication regimen now includes help with side effects such as vomiting, diarrhea and tremors.
"If we can provide a better comfort level for them to at least get through this initial phase, it might motivate them and retain them in treatment where they can then seek the long-term treatment," said Clinical Manager Marcy McFadden.
The program is available for anyone 18 or older.
