CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- A number of communities are inviting the public out to enjoy some Christmas parades.

Benton, Illinois

  • December 8 - 6 p.m.
  • Industrial Park Road
  • Santa, food, cookies at Benton Elks Lodge after parade

Carbondale

  • December 7
  • Parade at 6 p.m. at Illinois Avenue
  • Letters to Santa - 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. at Carbondale Civic Center
  • Cookie Walk - 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. - Downtown Carbondale
  • Hot Cocoa Bar - 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. Carbondale Civic Center

Carterville

  • December 6 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Line up at 1st United Methodist Church, Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1st Christian Church

Du Quoin

  • November 30
  • Tree Lighting at 6 p.m., Parade at 6:30 p.m.

Harrisburg

  • Harrisburg Lights Parade
  • December 12 - 6 p.m.

Marion

  • Holiday Parade
