Emergency crews respond to I-57 SB in Franklin County for traffic crash, motorists urged to avoid area

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. -- Emergency crews responded to a crash along I-57 near the 67 mile marker on Friday morning.

The Franklin County Emergency Management Agency alerted the public about the crash at 10:02 a.m. on Friday.

This happened in the southbound lanes on I-57 at the 67 mile marker, about two miles north of West Frankfort.

Motorists are urged to avoid the area and take alternative routes of travel.
