CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Four people were injured after a two-vehicle crash which involved a Jackson County Mass Transit bus in Carbondale.
The Carbondale Police Department said the crash happened on January 24, at 11:07 a.m. in the 1200-block of South Wall Street.
Police said the crash was blocking the roadway and motorists were urged to avoid the area during this time.
One of the vehicles involved was a Jackson County Mass Transit bus which was going south on South Wall Street when another vehicle turned north from a private drive and crashed into the bus as it crossed into the southbound lane, police detailed.
Police said two of the passengers on the bus and the driver and passenger in the other vehicle all had minor injuries. One of which was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the vehicle was cited with Improper Lane Use.
The investigation is ongoing.
