Police in Marion are looking to identify a suspect who damaged a fire hydrant

MARION, Ill. -- Police are looking for a person suspected of hitting and damaging a fire hydrant in Marion.

The Marion Police Department said a fire hydrant in Marion was hit by an older model crew cab Dodge Ram truck with a silver tool box in the bed at around 5 a.m. on October 31. This caused extensive damage to the hydrant.

This happened at the T-intersection of Frontage Road and DeYoung Street between FS Gas Station and Voyage Assisted Living Center.

They suspect a white male, about 50 years of age, wearing glasses and a gray beard.

Police displayed a video on their Facebook page, showing a gas station with what police said is the suspect and the suspected truck involved in the incident.
