* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois along and east of I-57,
southwest Indiana, and parts of west Kentucky nearest the Ohio
River.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CDT /10 AM EDT/ this morning.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

Initially canceled, Carbondale bringing back Sunset Concerts

CARBONDALE (WSIL) -- , the city has reversed their decision.

Carbondale, in partnership with the SIU Student Center, SIU Student Programming Council, and Carbondale Park District, announced the Sunset Concert Series will make a comeback in 2021.   

When Illinois moved into Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois Plan, organizers began scheduling bands for the concert series. Typically bands are booked in December, but after a significant effort, the lineup has been finalized. 

The free concerts will happen each Thursday at 7 p.m. beginning July 22, running through August 26.

This year, the concerts will alternate locations between the Shryock Auditorium steps on the SIU campus and Turley Park.

In the event of unforeseen circumstances, concert locations and acts may change.Â
