CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. -- Authorities seized more than 25 pounds of meth during an arrest Thursday in Murray.

Police said it capped a months-long investigation into 29-year-old Trey D. Cowans, of Paris, Tenn.
Cowans was arrested at a local business and accused of trafficking large amounts of meth in the western Kentucky and western Tennessee areas.
He was arrested by the Calloway and Marshall County sheriff's offices, with assistance from the Calloway-Marshall Drug Task Force and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Authorities said this is Cowans' second arrest for meth trafficking.Â
