CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) � Get ready to immerse yourself in the holiday spirit as The Stage Company of Carbondale presents the timeless classic “Miracle on 34th Street� at The Varsity Center this December. This heartwarming production, directed by Tricia Burns, promises to capture the magic of the season and leave audiences believing in the power of goodwill and holiday cheer.

“Miracle on 34th Street� tells the enchanting story of Kris Kringle, a kindly old man who takes a job as Macy’s Santa Claus in bustling New York City. When Kris shocks everyone by claiming to be the real Santa, his authenticity and mental health are put to the test in a gripping court case. This beloved tale of faith, kindness, and community is perfect for audiences of all ages.

There are several performance dates to ensure everyone who wants to see the show, can. Those dates are:

Friday, December 6th @ 7:30 PM

Saturday, December 7th @ 2:00 PM (Matinee, in time for the Lights Fantastic Parade)

Sunday, December 8th @ 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM

Thursday, December 12th @ 7:30 PM (Special discounted tickets at $7)

Friday, December 13th @ 7:30 PM

Sunday, December 15th @ 2:00 PM (Final performance)

Doors open an hour before showtime, and seating begins 30 minutes prior. Organizers say arrive early to enjoy concessions available before the show and during intermission.

Students: $10
