CARUTHERSVILLE, Mo. -- Students are out of school on Friday in one school district due to illnesses affecting a number of staff members.
The Caruthersville School District #18 stated the district will be closed on Friday, September 1 due the illnesses.
They also stated this was not an issue due to the students. Because of that, they will still have extracurricular activities.
The school also stated that they encourage anyone interested in becoming a substitute teacher to apply with them.
