The City of Sesser is gearing up for their annual Fall event, Oktoberfest. Organizers say they expect this year to be the best yet. The event is slated for Saturday, October 12, 2024 in downtown Sesser.
SESSER, Ill., (WSIL) -- The City of Sesser is gearing up for their annual Fall event, Oktoberfest. Organizers say they expect this year to be the best yet. The event is slated for Saturday, October 12, 2024 in downtown Sesser.
The event kicks off at 8 a.m. with more than 60 vendors in the downtown area. Live entertainment, including artist Cody Galloway, will take place from 10 a.m. through 1 p.m. There's a lot happening during that time frame, with a pet contest starting at 10:45 a.m., and "Touch a Truck" happening between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Other family friendly things to do around the festival include face painting, pumpkin painting and bounce houses for the kids. You will also want to swing by the food vendors to check out the variety and grab a snack while you're out.
