WSIL (Carterville) -聽Who doesn鈥檛 love ending the weekend with some very cold rain? Areas north of route 13 are tracking a wintry mix along with the cold rain, but no major impacts are expected since there won鈥檛 be any accumulation.

today

Temperatures this morning are right around freezing with wind chills well below that. It鈥檚 the perfect morning to toss an extra blanket on the bed and sleep in. As we go through the rest of our Sunday, we won鈥檛 ever really see conditions warm up thanks to a cold front.

Conditions will be breezy, very chilly and soggy. Take this opportunity to make some hot chocolate and decorate the house since highs will only be in the mid 40s.

temps

We won鈥檛 see warmer temperatures until Wednesday, despite all of the sunshine that鈥檒l stick around as we start the work week.聽Highs will have a hard time climbing into the 40s. After today we continue to stay dry until the end of the week.

Next large system will push through Thursday night and throughout Friday, brining scattered showers. Temperatures will be much warmer in the 50s, so no chances for snow.
