WSIL(Carterville, Ill.) --Â This evening, we are tracking temperatures that are largely in the upper 60s to lower 70s across most of the area, with the mid 70s being observed in the Bootheel of Missouri. Skies this evening are mostly sunny, and winds are out of the northwest at 5 to 15 miles per hour.Â
Now though midnight, you can expect to see mild conditions stick around, with temperatures expected to run into the upper 50s to 60s through 7 PM. Temperatures by 11 will be in the upper 40s, still with a lot of clear skies, and north-north-easterly winds at 3 to 5 miles per hour. After midnight, however, we are tracking the potential for a few isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms. These will primarily remain in the northeastern parts of the viewing area. Showers will remain fairly hit and miss tomorrow morning. After 8 or 9 AM, we will see a lull in terms of the shower activity.Â
Morning lows tomorrow will reach the mid 40s for morning lows, and a mix of sun and clouds can be expected through most of the day. Temperatures tomorrow will rrah the low to mid 70s. However, this will be dependent on how much sunshine. There is a chance we could see the upper 70s to lower 80s across southeastern Missouri.Â
Tomorrow afternoon and evening, we will once again see a chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms, mainly in southern Illinois. These are expected after 3 and should last through the evening. A wash out is not expected.Â
Increasing shower and storm chances are expected for Friday, and especially this weekend. Sunday is definitely a day to remain weather aware.Â
