CARBONDALE, Ill. -- The Black Chamber of Commerce is hosting the 2024 Black Expo Saturday at the Carbondale Civic Center.聽
The Expo is a chance for locally owned black businesses to shine. Local vendors are set up at the event selling products to visitors. Additionally, booths are set up to educate attendees on the history of African Americans in the US.
The event started at 10:00 a.m. and is ongoing until 3:00 p.m.聽
The Black Chamber hopes the event gives a chance to lift black voices and empower those visiting.聽
This is the third year the event has taken place. About 50 vendors are included this year.聽
