CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) -- The night of tricks and treats will stay dry but it comes at a rather chilly price!

Tuesday evening: Temperatures dipping from the lower to mid 40's to the mid 20's to lower 30's. Winds from the NW 10-15mph may gust upwards of 20mph at times, making temperatures feel a few degrees colder. It's an evening where you'll want to bundle up under or over the costumes.

A Freeze Warning will go into place for:

Southeastern Missouri counties: Dunklin and Pemiscot.

Northwestern Tennessee counties: Lake, Obion, Weakley and Henry.

This warning will go until 10AM into Wednesday.

Wednesday: Morning lows into the mid 20's to lower 30's will warm to the lower to mid 40's. Mostly sunny with winds from the NW 5-10mph. A calmer day without much of the gusty winds that we have been seeing over the past few days. Another cool evening ahead.

Thursday: Morning lows into the upper 20's and lower 30's will rise into the  mid 40's and lower 50's. A few peaks of sun will shine through, but for sun-lovers, this may not be the best day! Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy with winds from the SSW 10-15mph with gusts up to 20mph at times. Another cool evening ahead as temperatures dip back into the lower to mid 30's.

Looking ahead into Friday and the weekend we look to get a few degrees warmer and could even hit our average temperatures into the lower to mid 60's. That warm up looks to come with a chance of rain by late Sunday into Monday. Friday-Sunday looking to stay dry with clouds moving back in becoming cloudy.
