ELDORADO, Ill. -- The Ferrell Hospital is updating services and still continuing care for their patients, even though the healthcare facility is closed due to damage from floodwaters in a recent storm.
While the hospital remains on diversion and is not accepting new patients, they have implemented several measures to help the continued care for their patients.
The hospital shared the following...
Lab Services: Labs are now being drawn at all offsite clinics, including Eldorado Family Medicine, Harrisburg Family Medicine, Carmi Family Medicine and McLeansboro Family Medicine.
Appointment Rescheduling: Patients with upcoming appointments at Ferrell Hospital Family Practice will have their appointments rescheduled or will be seen by their provider at another Ferrell Hospital clinic. Patients with upcoming appointments either have already been called or will be called about their appointment location before their appointment.
Outpatient Physical Therapy: These services at Ferrell Hospital remain OPEN and fully operational. Fortunately, they were unaffected by the flood.

Crews are still working to restore, clean and sanitize the hospital.
Ferrell Hospital stated they are continuing close communication with the State of Illinois and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) about a timeline to reopen the facility. As of Friday at 3:01 p.m., there is not a definitive date when they will reopen.
