MARION, Ill. -- Forty-five high-school students received scholarships from Black Diamond Harley-Davidson and community colleges in the area.Â
2024 is the 15th year Harley-Davidson has partnered with local colleges to award students. In total, $45,000 of financial aid was given out this year.Â
High school administration and faculty across the region nominated students for the award. Each scholarship covered $1,000 and was funded by Co-Owners of Black Diamond Rodney Cabaness and Shad Zimbro and the four community colleges in the region.
The following students received scholarships to attend John A. Logan College:
- Carbondale High School: Skylar Moore

- Elverado High School: Addison Will
- Herrin High School: Janiya HarrisonJohnston City High School: Max Price

- West Frankfort High School: Hannah Mullins
- Project Echo High School: Jemma Gamble

A luncheon is scheduled for Saturday at TJ's Diamond Club at Mtn Dew Park for the scholarship presentations.Â
