CARTERVILLE, Ill. (WSIL) Rain will continue, bringing with it ongoing chances for severe flooding on Saturday.
Friday’s storms brought lots of rain, contributing to flooding emergencies to multiple communities. The rain on Saturday will complicate matters even further and continue with flooding across the region in areas.
Throughout the day on Saturday, we are expecting more rain which will contribute to swollen creeks and rivers and will complicate travel.
Temperatures will start out in the 60s in the early morning hours but will drop into the 40s when the sun rises. Winds will also be a factor throughout the day, reaching up to a steady 20 mph.
On Sunday, rain chances will begin to taper off but flooding will remain a factor, especially along major rivers throughout the region as they will continue to rise, eventually leading to major flooding by the end of next week.
