Local brewery teams up with airport to put locals inside a 737

MURPHYSBORO, Ill. -- St. Nicholas Brewing Company is showing guests a look at one of the most talked about airplanes this year, a 737.

The 737 planes have made national news after a door flew off one produced by Boeing in early 2024. Now, residents of Southern Illinois will have the chance to tour one of these planes at the St. Nicholas Brewing Company in Carbondale.Ìý

The event will run from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday. Guests will be treated to a tour of a 737, a demonstration of the aircraft's powerful engine and a dual-engine run at the end of the day.Ìý

St. Nicholas partnered with the Southern Illinois Airport, SIU Aviation and the Aircraft Restoration Association (ARA) for the festivities. More information on the ARA is available on the association's . The ARA is also accepting .Ìý
