PADUCAH, Ky. -- Police arrested a Paducah man on Friday for the possession of explicit videos involving children and illegal drugs.Â
Paducah police arrested Richard A. Gibson, 53, of Alameda Drive for these crimes.Â
Police learned of Gibson's video possession from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in March. An investigation was immediately opened which led to a warrant to search Gibson's property.Â
Police executed the warrant on Friday. Officials reported finding electronic devices with underage explicit images, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.Â
Gibson was added to the lifetime sex offender registry for the sexual abuse of a minor under 12. He previously faced charges in Oklahoma for indecent suggestions/acts on a child.Â
Further charges are pending.Â
The Paducah Police received help on this investigation from the electronic crimes branch of the Kentucky State Police.Â
