SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Officials arrested one individual after a house burned to a "total loss" on Wednesday afternoon.Â

Patricia Graf, 44, was taken into custody for being in the area at the time of the fire. Police believe she is responsible for arson, which led to the loss of the home.Â
The fire took place on Lakeview Drive outside of Scott City. It was first described to police as a structure fire but was deemed a working fire upon the team's arrival due to a large amount of black smoke on the scene.Â
The main problem officials faced on the scene was a lack of water. The location of the fire was outside the city limits, so there was no water supply. Nearby trees also posed a concern for officials concerned about a forest fire. All teams on sight were able to work together without these worries causing much of a notable effect.Â

The house had two stories with a garage about 10 feet from the main structure. Firefighters were able to salvage the garage with only minor damage, despite the loss of the house.
Officials from Cape Girardeau, Gordonville, Chaffee and surrounding areas' fire departments helped the Scott City team with the fire.Â
