* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois along and east of I-57,
southwest Indiana, and parts of west Kentucky nearest the Ohio
River.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CDT /10 AM EDT/ this morning.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If driving, slow down, use your headlights, and leave plenty of
distance ahead of you.

#7 Carbondale football hosts #10 Hillcrest in opening round of IHSA playoffs

CARBONDALE, IL (WSIL) - We are almost ready to shift into high school football playoff mode!

A bunch of area teams are heading to the postseason. On Saturday night, everyone found out who they would play next.

One of those teams was the Carbondale Terriers. CCHS held a watch party on Saturday night for the official release show.

The Terriers gathered in the high school's cafeteria to watch the show. There was too much traffic on the website it froze and then crashed.

So, coaches had to break the news to the team by pulling up the bracket! The team was pumped to learn they are the 7th seed in class 5A.

They will face number 10 Hillcrest. The Hawks are based out of Country Club Hills, IL, roughly about 30 minutes outside of Chicago.

Head coach Bryan Lee says he is proud of his guys for getting to this point.
