* WHAT...Visibility one quarter mile or less in dense fog.

* WHERE...Portions of southern Illinois along and east of I-57,
southwest Indiana, and parts of west Kentucky nearest the Ohio
River.

* WHEN...Until 9 AM CDT /10 AM EDT/ this morning.

* IMPACTS...Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.

BENTON, IL (WSIL) - The Benton Rangers are 2A Regional Champions!

Benton Basketball wins 2A regional championship, defeat Breese Central 34-32

Benton was able to take down a powerful Breese Central team that had won 22 straight games. 

This is Benton's first time in the Elite Eight teams since 2003. Friday's sold-out game was the team's 16th straight win. 

The Rangers will now meet the Wooden Shoes of Teutopolis in the 2A Super-Sectional game, which will take place at the Banterra Center in Carbondale.

"We have the whole town here tonight," said Saluki Docker Tedeschi. "It was a sold-out gym; they couldn't even sell tickets at the door. It just means so much to have that support. I feel like that really helped us through the game. Having that type of crowd just gives you so much energy."
