WEST FRANKFORT 鈥� The West Frankfort Redbirds have a new head boys basketball coach.聽 The school board hired Pete Gordon as a PE teacher and basketball coach at a special meeting Tuesday night.
Gordon leaves Thompsonville, where he was the head coach and athletic director.聽 He led the Tigers to a 30-3 record last season.
Gordon replaces Evan Wyllie, who resigned last month to take a graduate assistant position at the University of Western Florida.
