Unpsortsmanlike conduct update

CHRISTOPHER (WSIL) -- On Wednesday, the Christopher School District has terminated Gabe Motsingers eligibilty for the remainder of the basketball season.

On Friday, January 10, in McLeansboro, during a game between Christopher and Hamilton County, Motsinger threw an elbow to the face of Hamilton County's Grady Leuke.

On Wednesday morning, the Christopher Administration released the following statement.

"At the January 10th basketball game between Hamilton County High School (HCHS) and Christopher High School (CHS), unsportsmanlike conduct was exhibited by a CHS player. The player in question has been suspended from basketball indefinitely. Additionally, CHS has been in contact with the IHSA and a final decision on eligibility will be forthcoming."

By Wednesday afternoon, the Christopher School District decided moving forward, Motsinger would not be able to play for the Bearcats this season.
